This modern rendering of an unglazed white ceramic bowl gains substantial interest from the pattern of different size holes punctuating its surface, giving it a delicate lacy, almost cloud-like or bubble-like appearance.  The rim of the bowl is very dynamic, appearing as though the top portion of a ceramic ball has been broken off, leaving a very uneven and "yearning" edge seeking redemption.
